The album was recorded in single day has a live perfomance. The album has songs that are part of our live setlist and also improvised tracks that were done that very same day. Our definition of recording is very simple, what we play goes, if we liked how it sound it while we played it stays it makes the album, that simple. We got together the summer of 2008 to record our debut album, in somewhat a familiar style as this last one. Everything was improvised and back then we were playing with a...

The album is a compilation of music i call "layered improvizations". Mainly it's a way of playing in a band, when you have none. Just improvising one layer of sound and then, while listening to it, playing the other one on top. so, structurally it's very simple and basic, while recording takes lots of time untill i get to play accordingly/in tact with the other "player". So, in fact, the result is just a chosen piece (with some after recording mastering) from the long pieces...

Polyrhythmic excursions and energetic synth structures, coltish noise cascades and rank power play – “Mucking Felt” and “Fucking Melt” are investigations of today’s possibilities of free jazz and noise rock. The two EPs are their second and third release after releasing the CDr “Juice of Pictures” on the Cologne based Noise Label BlackGapDeathTrap, but the first one acting on their primal territory, playing live-electronics and drums. Always well structured, but nevertheless...

"Wanderers Nachtlied II" This work continues the 2006 year's album "Secret. What is There Inside?". The experiments in the field of mixing the natural instruments with their very sound electronically processed are the main direction of these two studio projects. Along with bass-guitar and baritone saxophone Ilia uses electroguitar also playing on it with bow and ambient sounds. Wozzeck was born on the 11th of September 2007 during the first studio session which became the album actually. The trio exceeds the limits of experimental music using some elements of free improv, free jazz, noise, ambient, psychedelia and even metal. They try not to lose composition ideas nevertheless. Being followers of John Zorn's Painkiller, Zu & Diskaholics Anonymous Trio the musicians create their unique musical world where everyone can find a bit of themselves. Ilia Belorukov alto...

"Secret" is his first album in the genres of electroacoustic music and ambient. Unlike the musician's main activities associated with free improvisation this work is more compositional though it contains one long improvisation on alto and tenor saxophones. Bass-guitar is the main instrument in this work, it creates rhythmic structures and melodic lines and it forms atmospheres by volume and superpositions of sounds. Perry Ferya Band is a marginal project of Skala Collective’s musicians, oriented to a spontaneous psychedelic improvisation with elements of free jazz. “Mantra” was recorded in 2013. Meditaciones solitarias que atraviesan muchos lugares, colores y músicas: desde la melancolía de buenos aires y su tango hasta la violencia de new york y su jazz, pasando por los paisajes impresionistas de la música europea y más allá. - Sad, lonely, final... is a set of free improvisations, or in other words: compositions in real time for solo piano. The album contains pieces by the composers Mário Del Nunzio and Henrique Iwao, composed specifically for dance performances. Mário Del Nunzio’s words about the album: In the musical works I have so far developed for dance, it was clear that the music would have absolute autonomy in its conception (except for its legnth), and this technical and esthetical autonomy was expected by the directors I've worked with; but, at the same time, some dramaturgical-thematic content was to be shared,...

The most interesting project of a new wave of modern St.Petersburg's musical scene. To describe style of collective's music is extremely complex. Musicians call it «a new Russian primitivism ». Music includes the features of rock, jazz and improvising music. The most influenced names are German krautrock band CAN, ART ENSEMBLE OF CHICAGO, SUN RA. The group is a derivate from « Z ensemble », in which many Petersburg's musicians have played. Despite of a rather long history, first official...

litmus0001 embarks on another journey to dark and beautiful corners of submental dischordian situationist impressionism with his 15th album and first Clinical Archives release, stillorgan road. This album, recorded and composed in the middle of a particularly long Wisconsin winter, contains six new pieces of moody lush atmospheric wide-space ambient soundscapes generated through experimental improvisation and informed with a relentless shoegazer aesthetic. It sounds like walking through the...

Tembryo is the three-membered band from Prague. The band is playing improvised music in which is putting together traditional and untraditional approaches to classical instruments as well as to other objects which are able to generate sound. Tembryo has decided after the debut album to present the new EP with more raw and authentic material recorded live in concert. The leader of the band – Jan Faix (he also performs as Count Portmon) – uses the noise structures from tape players without...

Материал для своего нового альбома московские музыканты записывали придерживаясь привычной для них концепции живых импровизаций. Благодаря необычным инструментальным и программным решениям, новый релиз наполнен сложными и непрямолинейными структурами. All tracks for his new...

Sam Nacht: Having studied several instruments both formally and self-taught, in ’99 Sam narrowed it down to the tenor saxophone, taking private lessons with Juan Ignacio Caino, Luis Nacht (no relation) and eventually Evan Parker. His interest in music lead him to study Electroacoustic Composition at the University of Quilmes (2000-06). A few years later he started teaching privately and then between 2006-09 at St. George’s College, Quilmes. By now he also plays a little clarinet, flute and...

RCL-290 is a pocket cassette player of a doubtful brand produced in 1980s. Jan Faix bought it for a bargain at a junk shop and decided to explore the player’s sound possibilities. He was pleasantly surprised by its flexibility and colourfulness. The recording of this “instrument” was similar to that used by contemporary improvisers playing classical music instruments during their solo performances, i.e. live, without overdubbing or additional sound effects, and, indeed, without the use of...

This piece is based on Edoheart's poetry as Eseohe Arhebamen. It was conceived and recorded as a free-improvisation work at a studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York. The distortion comes from the two toy pianos that Edoheart plays simultaneously and her vocal humming. The underlying piano playing is inspired by Michael Scott's piano work, "Beneath The Lake". The cover art is a painting by Eseohe Arhebamen that has been inverted and converted from red to blue. Edoheart is a singer,...

"Ilia Belorukov is a foolhardy young man. A talented musician, he has played with many highly experienced musicians of the radical scene and has recorded plenty of albums for a quite short period of his creative activity. But the creation of the first solo sax album, especially with subtitle Volume 1, is a devilishly daring and a risky business indeed. But surprisingly the product turned out to be quite qualitative and convincing with conceptionally chosen pieces, set...

Introducing Lindsjö and his guitar, it would seem unjust to posit them in one corner or the other, even though his playing without apologies takes cues from past decades of string plucking. Old idioms are picked up, domesticized and wrapped tightly before pulled to a neck twisting uttermost – even venturing into the blues. Just listen closely: ...koeeeeng...kttanngg...koiiii..tkk.... – Reichel? Bailey? ...badibadabibee//bu//ba//bú//bubebo... – Al di Meola?...

Solo project by Russian guitarist A. Lomakin, experimenting in the different forms of noise music & created by technical manipulations with analog lo-fi equipment, effects, various sound objects and minimalistic guitar improvisations. On an album only 5 tracks which are executed in close to each other genre stylistics but are strongly various in the internal maintenance and the mood, are presented. Each of a composition can associate with certain "immersing" and this surprising...
